Police on Monday announced the arrest of a city man in connection with a “brutal stabbing” outside a city convenience store and this immediate release on personal recognizance bail – which has elicited a call from Mayor Jay Ruais to end the “madness” of state bail policies.

An early-morning closure on Hackett Hill Road was due to a tree that came down, taking wires with it, because of gusty winds, according to Hooksett Police – adding to the growing list of Eversource customers experiencing outages due to the weather.
