In a city where change is inevitable, walking into a familiar space to encounter something completely different happens. And so it was when my hubby and I recently entered the space that was most recently Mint Bistro to check out KS Kitchen, which advertises itself as an American-Indian and Nepali restaurant. It was the same, only completely different.

It’s anticipated that tonight’s presentation by Director of Housing Stability Adrienne Beloin during the Nov. 21 Board of Aldermen meeting will show that the pathway is slow-going and filled with all sorts of tangible challenges. The board earlier this year approved maintaining the shelter through June of 2024 with funding for the engagement center to come from the initial $1.14 million Fiscal Year 2023 money allocated to the shelter.

Wrapping up another year of confidence and skill building with their annual 5K, Girls on the Run on Saturday welcomed 40 teams from around the state to Memorial Field, including 25 third and fourth-grade girls from Bakersville Elementary in Manchester.

Manchester Police, with help from Manchester Fire officials and New Hampshire State Police, conducted a systematic grid search on the West Side of the city covering a full square mile. The search also involved the use of police dogs, ATVs, horses, and door-to-door inquiries.
