But a treasure hunter with a good eye picked up a painting in 2017 for $4, stacked with other unwanted items at the Manchester Savers on South Willow Street. She was searching for frames to reuse, something many thrifters do to salvage or repurpose castaway art. The signature on the painting read N.C. Wyeth – for Newell Convers Wyeth, patriarch of the famed Wyeth family of painters.
The following arrests were reported by Manchester Police Department through a narrative compiled by officers involved in the arrests. All those arrested and charged are considered innocent until due process through the court system.
Durham Police continue to investigate the stabbing death of Alexander Talcott, 41, who was pronounced dead inside his home Saturday morning. As of Monday, no further update has been issued by the NH Attorney General’s office, which is assisting with the investigation.
