Nearly 500 vehicles were pulled over during a multi-town speed and distracted driving enforcement initiative along and around Interstate 93. The effort, which was conducted from Saturday, Feb. 24 to Friday, March 1, included additional patrols throughout Merrimack and Belknap counties, from the town of Boscawen extending north to the town of Plymouth.

The New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety (NHOHS) announces an upcoming multi-town speed and distracted driving enforcement initiative along and around Interstate 93.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of a Chevy Malibu had drifted off the roadway to the left where the front end of the vehicle collided with a guardrail end cap.

The vehicle hit the center median Jersey barrier before ricocheting back across all lanes of traffic and striking another vehicle.  It then continued into the woods where it struck several trees and caught on fire.  The three occupants were able to escape from the vehicle and one was transported to a hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.  There were no injuries to the occupant of the other vehicle that was struck.

A driver was killed in a fiery crash Wednesday on I-93 after a tractor-trailer rear-ended his vehicle.

New Hampshire State Police Troop A was notified of a single-vehicle crash on Route 101 Westbound in the area of mile marker 104.0, in the town of Auburn on Nov. 1 just after 7 a.m. Responding Troopers located a 2011 Cadillac CTS sedan off to the right side of the roadway, and into the adjacent wood line. Additionally, the vehicle had come to a final resting position on its roof.

A truck from Canada hauling produce overturned late Wednesday night causing lane closures and traffic delays.

Two people – including a NH State Police Trooper – were transported to the Elliot Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday in a crash on I-93.

Troopers arrived to find that a vehicle had failed to negotiate the EZ Pass toll lane, struck the concrete barrier, and subsequently rolled over. 

A surfer at Hampton Beach jumped into action when two swimmers from Massachusetts called out for help. One person was rescued while the other drowned, according to NH State Police.

New Hampshire State Police, Manchester Fire, and AMR ambulance responded to a call of a single-vehicle crash on 93 North near mile marker 17.2 that involved a vehicle on its roof Saturday which stalled traffic – and appears to have led to a second crash.

To prevent impaired driving on one of the busiest travel days on the East Coast, the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety (NHOHS) is joining forces with law enforcement agencies throughout New Hampshire and 20 other states to promote a “No DUI Friday” on September 1, 2023.

Marine Patrol responded to calls in Gilmanton, Manchester, and Madison, between the hours of 2:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., with the assistance and cooperation of at least nine other agencies. 

New Hampshire State Police have identified the woman whose body was found in the breakdown lane of Interstate 89 North at approximately 12:13 a.m. on June 5, 2023. 

The female was found early Monday morning and has a back tattoo of a feather with birds flying out of it, and bright green painted finger and toenails.

Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit on Monday concentrated on reducing speed and other hazardous driving behavior on Interstate 93 by utilizing and working in conjunction with the State Police Aircraft.

A crash on I-93 in Londonderry Monday morning reduced southbound traffic to one lane for about an hour.

Route 101 East in the area of the crash was closed for approximately 45 minutes as Troopers investigated the scene and emergency personnel worked to remove the pickup truck,  along with the associated debris.
