Submissions are now open for the New Hampshire Children’s System of Care (CSoC) sixth annual Magnify Voices Expressive Art Contest. Now through April 21, New Hampshire students in fifth through 12th grade are invited to submit a creative piece about their experiences and connections to mental health. An initiative of CSoC, Magnify Voices raises awareness, erases stigma, and effects change to help ensure the social and emotional health of youth in the Granite State.

A new poll conducted by the Saint Anselm College Survey Center (SACSC) at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) finds former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley’s momentum has slowed.  31% of respondents indicate that they would support her in the upcoming primary, up just a single point from the Survey Center’s last poll in December.

U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Joni Ernst (R-IA), senior members of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, sent a bipartisan letter to the Department of Defense (DoD) urging the agency to implement a Leave Without Pay policy (LWOP), which would allow the spouses of service members, who may experience professional gaps during relocation periods, to apply for federal jobs and access existing benefits that they otherwise risk losing.

The New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, recently secured temporary warehouse space in Berlin to increase food distribution efforts in northern New Hampshire. After entering into a lease agreement with New Hampshire Distributors securing the warehouse, the New Hampshire Food Bank will use the space to enhance access to nutritious food in the historically underserved North Country region of the state. The Food Bank began outfitting the 2,000-square-foot space in December 2023 and plans to open the facility for distribution in late winte

The Distiller’s Showcase, the region’s largest spirits tasting expo, took place Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown. The event featured more than 1,000 guests who enjoyed 600 premium and ultra-premium spirits for sampling, poured by world-renowned distillers, brand ambassadors and industry celebrities and experts.

Dartmouth Health Children’s and Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD) announces the rosters for this year’s Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship, presented by the Elliot Perry Foundation. The 16th annual game, featuring police officers, detectives, marshals, state troopers, sheriffs, department of corrections officers, firefighters, dispatch workers, EMTs, and more, will take place at Manchester’s SNHU Arena on Sunday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m.
