From a diverse catalog that includes a community member who experienced homelessness, a woman living with dyslexia, a police officer, and a young woman who served as a surrogate, guests or “readers” will be able to have one on one, 20-minute conversations with these and other human books. Each book has a compelling story waiting to be told. Each has encountered adversity, and each has been the subject of marginalization or discrimination because of their lifestyle, religion, differing abilities or gender identification.

Experts in woodworking, metal, jewelry, glass, fiber arts, ceramics, printmaking, photography and so much more will return to Newbury for the 90th Annual Craftsmen’s Fair. The Fair opens Saturday, August 5 on the grounds of the Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury and will run through Sunday, August 13.

Fraser succeeds Amy Cook, who joined the National Alliance on Mental Illness New Hampshire (MANI-NH) to develop suicide prevention programs.
