Dry and quiet weather today with increasing cloud cover tonight. Snow showers later at night will produce an inch or less, which could cause slick travel for tomorrow’s morning commute.
Another storm system will cross New Hampshire Christmas day into early tomorrow morning. This will bring a chance for mixed precipitation in addition to light snow tonight. This could make any holiday travel difficult.

High pressure is our friend for the last day of fall and the short work week. Today will be sunny and cold along with lighter winds compared to yesterday.
High pressure stretching from southern Canada to the Ohio Valley pushes east tonight and tomorrow resulting in dry conditions with slightly below normal temperatures. The brisk winds today will make the mid-30s feel like the upper teens.
Much colder air today sets the stage for the first widespread moderate to heavy snowfall of the season. A large swath of 4 to 7 inches is expected this afternoon through early tomorrow morning.
A cold front moves offshore this morning with shifting winds to W/NW. So, a windy day is ahead with gusts over 20 mph. Colder air lags behind the front so another mild day can be expected with highs in the low 50s before temperatures begin to fall later in the day.
