A slow-moving cold front will approach the area from the west before moving offshore tonight. This front will run into a warm, muggy airmass and result in spot showers and isolated thunderstorms today through this evening. A couple of storms could become strong to marginally severe this afternoon and early evening. The heaviest storms will produce downpours with gusty winds and small hail.

Noticeably cooler today with temperatures in the low to mid-70s, despite a lot of clouds. Brief showers will be possible through much of the day, but most likely in the morning as a weak disturbance passes by. A strong cold front will bring the potential for a few strong to severe thunderstorms later tomorrow into the evening.

A gradual warm-up is expected through the week, with record summer-like temperatures later in the week. On Friday we will break the record of 84 set in 2012 and on Saturday morning we will break the record high low of 57 set in 1890. On Saturday will break the record of 81 in 2018. On Sunday morning will break the record high low of 62 set in 2004.
