Today is a nice day with less humidity with highs in the low 80s. Memorial Day will be warmer and more humid with a high near 90.
A slow-moving cold front will approach the area from the west before moving offshore tonight. This front will run into a warm, muggy airmass and result in spot showers and isolated thunderstorms today through this evening. A couple of storms could become strong to marginally severe this afternoon and early evening. The heaviest storms will produce downpours with gusty winds and small hail.

High pressure will dominate the weather pattern through tomorrow with seasonable temperatures.
High pressure continues to build into New Hampshire today with highs in the upper 60s, then drifts to the east of the area by midweek with milder temperatures.
Today’s high of 95 will be near the record of 96 set in 1941. Tonight, turning less humid with a dramatic drop in temperature tomorrow, following the weekend heat.
Today a record high of 95 breaking the record of 92 set in 2009. Tonight, with a low of 70, we will break the record high low of 67 set in 1955. Tomorrow’s high of 97 will break the record of 96 set in 1941 and will tie May’s all-time record high set in 2010.
Warming begins today, with clouds breaking up to a partly to mostly sunny sky. This should help temperatures to climb to near 80. Hot temperatures are expected this weekend, with readings topping out several degrees warmer than last weekend`s warm spell.

Dry weather is expected well into this week, as high pressure to our north keeps any rain to our south. A gradual warm-up is expected through the week, with near-record summer-like high temperatures later this week.
While the forecast remains dry for the foreseeable future, an onshore flow today will mainly keep temperatures in the 50s. We begin a gradual warming trend tomorrow through the end of the week. Feeling like summer by week’s end.
