Weak high-pressure nudges in from the south today with a mostly sunny sky with highs in the low 40s.
Snowmelt and ice melt may cause localized standing water where drains could be obstructed by the recent snowfall.
A coastal low passing offshore will likely result in afternoon snow showers and a period of light snow this evening through tomorrow morning.
High pressure remains in control today giving us cold sunshine, but with lighter winds.
High pressure will settle over New Hampshire this weekend giving us quiet weather. Today highs will be in the low 20s but feeling like it’s around 10. Tonight, lows will drop below zero with a light wind.
Ice storm this morning with a quarter to a half-inch of freezing rain accumulation for southern New Hampshire. Heavy sleet with an inch to an inch and a half on top of the freezing rain before it changes to snow by late morning. This leads to an extremely difficult commute this morning with icy conditions. This mess transitions to all snow (3-5″ of sleet & snow) over southern New Hampshire during the day.
A cold front will move southward out of Canada later today with much colder temperatures expected. Low pressure moving along that front to the south will likely bring New Hampshire mixed precipitation flipping to snow by tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning’s rush hours will have snow-covered roads. Watch out for ice under the snow.
Cloudy skies for Groundhog Day with highs in the lower 40s. Tomorrow wet weather moves in before rain changes to a wintery mix tomorrow night.
High pressure centered over northern Maine will gradually shift eastward today. An easterly flow off the ocean will develop with low clouds and flurries developing this afternoon. Tomorrow for Groundhog Day will be cloudy and milder with highs around 40.
Today will be not as cold as yesterday as high pressure settles across New Hampshire. Milder air arrives at least briefly, midweek for Groundhog Day.
High pressure will keep New Hampshire clear and cold. Wind chills will be bitter in the morning, but gusts should slacken through the mid-morning hours. Any early morning travelers should be aware of freshly blown snow on roadways. Densely packed drifts can quickly cause vehicles to become out of control.
An all-snow nor’easter will track through much of New England today. Snowfall intensities of 1 to 2 inches per hour combined with wind gusts over 40 mph will create blizzard-like conditions. This will lead to near whiteout conditions with travel not advised. The chance for splash over or dune erosion surrounding the time of high tides today along the coast. The worst of the storm is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Today will be about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday with snow flurries along with overcast skies. Tonight, snow will start after midnight with an inch or two by tomorrow morning.
High pressure moves offshore today allowing for lots of sunshine with temperatures moderating into the mid-20s with continued dry weather.
More arctic air will pour into New Hampshire on gusty northwest winds today into tonight. Cold sunshine will only push highs in the upper teens with the wind making it feel like the single digits.
