On September 23 at The Shaskeen Pub & Restaurant in Manchester, folks from around the area will get the chance to see what Libutti and Krahmer can do with their instruments. Starting at 9 p.m., the duo will be performing for nearly three hours so expect a one-of-a-kind experience right when you walk through the doors. 

After nearly 50 years of exhibiting a musical style that’s purely his own, Pat Metheny is still aiming to grasp his craft. He’s still looking for new riffs to play around with on his guitar and he’s still looking for new avenues to expand his creative horizons.

“Fight Club” author Chuck Palahniuk will bring the fun and flying candy bars to The Music Hall on Sept. 12. He’d love for you to join him.

For over 30 years, The Supersuckers have been one of the flag bearers for modern rock’n’roll. With a stylistic range that goes from alternative rock to punk rock to country, the band led by Eddie Spaghetti on bass and vocals have been electrifying audiences all over the world.

I had a talk with Jeff Gorman ahead of the show about the making of the new album, the obstacles that delayed its release, a really cool thing the band has been doing at one of the major music festivals in the New England region and some new music that’ll be out over the next few weeks. 

This can be said about Jonathan Scales, who has been expanding the limit of the steel pan instrument in a variety of ways for over 15 years. He exhibits his craft with his band known as the Fourchestra, and they’re going to be taking the stage at The Stone Church in Newmarket on August 12. Starting at 8 p.m., Scales and his band will bring sounds that are both cohesive and expansive while exuding a peculiar quality.
