The Nashua High School-Souhegan Saber-Titans, who dropped a tough 6-3 decision at the hands of the Manchester Kings, and may have lost one of their best players in addition.

Here we are about to turn the calendar to October, and the Little Green captured their second victory of the season on Friday night, 20-8 over a winless Nashua South team at a soggy Stellos Stadium.

Nashua South’s Sammy Hadouche scored two big goals on Sunday, including the game-winner in a 3-1 No. 2 South Division I quarterfinal win over No. 7 Manchester Memorial at Stellos Stadium.

And as a result, the dream of a second straight Division I Nashua North vs. South boys soccer semifinal disappeared, as the Little Green of Manchester Central upended North, 1-0 in the quarters on sun-splashed Motta Field.

The 11-3 Bishop Guertin Cardinals barely escaped Wednesday night with a 74-71 win against Central.

It was that kind of night for the Warriors and their fans, who really didn’t have a lot to cheer about as Berlin-Gorham skated up and down and all the way around to a 5-1 title win.
