After a three-day trial, a federal jury in Concord found Steven Tucker, 33, of Manchester, guilty on March 22 of using interstate facilities to promote a prostitution business enterprise and maintaining a drug-involved premise.Â
The FBI, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations, the Goffstown Police Department, the Milford Police Department, the New Boston Police Department, the Mont Vernon Police Department, and the Manchester Police Department all participated in the investigation of this case.
The investigation, which culminated in the execution of various search warrants on April 9, 2018, led to the seizure of more than 30 kilograms of suspected fentanyl, two firearms, and over $500,000 in cash. In court documents, the government has alleged that the investigation targeted a drug trafficking organization led by the Martinez brothers, Sergio and Raulin.
In late 2016, a mother to one of the victims discovered the demands made by Michael Gutierrez and reported them to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI’s investigation led to the identification and arrest of Gutierrez.Â
Pelchat, who pleaded guilty on January 19, 2018, will be on supervised release for three years after serving his 24-month prison sentence.Â
During the course of the conspiracy, John and Plabpleung Hayes, along with their co-conspirators in North Carolina, received more than 2.4 million prescription drugs from India, many of which were controlled substances.Â
Sentencing is scheduled for May 8, 2018.
