Instead of gathering at the designated sleep sites, participants in the SleepOut are being asked to stay at home on March 20, and sleep on the floor or in the yard or in some other less than comfortable way, while continuing to conduct their online fundraising campaigns.
Which neighborhoods in America offer children the best chance to rise out of poverty?  Waypoint, in partnership with the NH Children’s Lobby, will explore that question on October 4 in UPWARD, a conference on rising out of poverty in NH. The event will happen from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Grappone Conference Center, Concord.
Approximately 130 people slept outside Friday night on the cold, wet ground, through whipping winds, in downtown Manchester. They were a part of Waypoint’s 5th annual SleepOut to raise funds and awareness to aid New Hampshire’s homeless youth. So far, they’ve raised more than $332,000.
Governor Chris Sununu will participate in the 5th annual Waypoint SleepOut, on Friday, March 22, at Stanton Plaza, downtown Manchester, outside of the Hilton Doubletree hotel.
