Just under two weeks after Arbor Day, representatives from Eversource were on hand in the parking lot of JFK Colisseum to provide Manchester residents with free trees.
Wildlife biologists need help from volunteers who have bats in their barn or other outbuilding to conduct bat counts this summer as part of the New Hampshire Bat Counts project to help monitor bat colonies in the Granite State. It’s easy to participate, and volunteers are asked to conduct at least one count in June and one count in July.

Bike rack applications will be evaluated on, and priority given to, those whose proposed bike rack locations are most visible to the public, are accessible to the greatest numbers of bicyclists and potential bicyclists, and on the strength of the applicants’ plans to promote bike rack use to their customers, employees, and/or commercial tenants.
According to Deputy Airport Director Brian O’Neill, snowy owls were first spotted in the spring, and have returned for the winter, forcing airport personnel to “harass and scare” the birds away from runways and surrounding areas using FAA-approved programs that don’t harm the birds.
