I’m usually not one to wax philosophical about politicians, but there is one who stands out and played a pretty important role at a key moment in my life.

Manchester’s Bob Baines passed away Friday. He was the city’s mayor from 2000-2006.

Calling hours will be held at Lambert Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29 from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Blessed Sacrament at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 30.

In lieu of flowers, please set aside a donation for the Bob Baines Scholarship Fund that is in the works. Details will be released publicly in the near future.
