On Tuesday, Jan. 20, at The Shaskeen Pub and Restaurant in downtown Manchester, eight comics will take to the stage for “The Wrong Hill to Die On,” a live improvisational performance where four contestants—Matt Barry, Mona Forgione, Zach Remi and Tristan Hoffler—will attempt to defend absurd and controversial “hot takes” to a panel of three fellow comics and a live audience.
The concept behind the performance of “High School Dropout,” developed by comedian and co-host Mike Dupont, was incredibly innovative and original.
For Manchester comedian Danny Pee, the cosmic call to perform stand-up comedy didn’t come until later in life.
“As our Sam, Nicole Jones said beautifully to me, The Mad Ones is a nesting doll of grief;” said Director Katelin Garland. “What’s so unique about the show is the audience gets to experience the journey of grief with Sam, while reflecting on what that journey looks like for themselves. Theatre can be enlightening, emotional, and entertaining; The Mad Ones is a perfect amalgamation of all three.”
