The city decided to take action following a fire Wednesday night at the encampment, when city firefighters responded to a fire with reported explosions. When they arrived a tent and other items including propane tanks were burning and exploding. Firefighters extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported. The person whose tent it was had fled the area.

New Hampshire will receive $3,332,762 over five years from the multistate settlement.  Under a state law enacted last year, the proceeds from this settlement will be deposited into a fund that will be used to abate problems caused by opioids. This is the first multi-state opioid settlement to result in substantial payment to the states to address the epidemic.

The New Hampshire Institute for Civics Education and the NH Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College are pleased to announce the inauguration of Charlie Olsen, winner of the state-wide 5th-grade election for NH’s Kid Governor 2021. Charlie of Auburn Village School was selected among 14 candidates by over 1,000 of his peers throughout the state.
