The U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire on Jan. 16 will hear arguments in the lawsuit challenging New Hampshire’s classroom censorship law, which discourages public school teachers from teaching and talking about race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and gender identity in the classroom.

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) was at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) at Saint Anselm College on Friday on behalf of his new non-profit organization, Americans Together. According to the group’s website, Americans Together seeks to empower “the moderate majority” and support politicians who stand up to partisan extremists.

A new poll conducted by the Saint Anselm College Survey Center (SACSC) at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) finds former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley’s momentum has slowed.  31% of respondents indicate that they would support her in the upcoming primary, up just a single point from the Survey Center’s last poll in December.

In a new report released Jan. 10, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) published analyses of state and local government tax systems in each of the 50 states and modeled their impacts on residents, with a focus on family households and individuals under 65 years old and examining incomes based on individual, family, or household status as a tax unit.
