The Manchester Board of School Committee (BOSC) Finance and Facilities committee recommended a $188,759,220 Fiscal Year 2024 Manchester School District tax cap revenue and expenditure budget on Wednesday night, as well as additional requested funding beyond tax cap limitations and a proposed school food and nutrition budget as well.

Sen. Shannon Chandley, an Amherst Democrat, has introduced Senate Bill 201 aimed at protecting ticket buyers. The bill would impose a fine for selling tickets for more than $1 over face value. Other states have imposed similar laws or other restrictions that forbid a reseller to operate without a license or include the venue’s name in its web domain or subdomain address.

The U.S. Marshals Service – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force wants to thank the Manchester Police Department and the public for their assistance in locating two-time “Fugitive of the Week,” Jose Hiram Martinez-Rolon, who was arrested Feb. 8 by the JFTF along with his girlfriend Sabrina Deleon. The arrests mark the end of a fugitive investigation that started in Nov. 2021 and brings to justice fugitives from both the federal and state courts.

The NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced that its Manchester District Office, located at 1050 Perimeter Road, Suite 501 in Manchester, will be closed to the public and staff on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, due to burst pipes caused by this weekend’s extreme cold.
