A homeless man was sentenced to 4 ½ to 15 years in state prison on a dozen charges including robbing three men at the Turkish Cultural Center, forcing two of them into a closet and another into in another room where he cried and prayed after the man threatened to kill him.

With the full reopening of City Hall, all departments offering in-person services will accept walk-in customers and those with appointments during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hours may differ among departments for some services).

A Superior Court judge, who imposed a 30-day sentence on a Black teen from Nashua on a misdemeanor riot charge connected to last year’s Black Lives Matters protests, has vacated the sentence and ordered a new sentencing hearing because a co-defendant was given no jail time when facing the same charges.

The House budget reinstates education and training programs at the state prison which Sununu left out of his budget and cuts his proposed Department of Health and Human Services budget by more than $72 million in back-of-the-budget, across-the-board reductions: $22.6 million in personnel — over 225 positions — and $30 million in the 2022 fiscal year and $20 million in fiscal 2023.
