The groundbreaking collaborative serving Manchester’s youth is celebrated its first year on Sept. 24, 2019, at the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL.) The celebration featured a retrospective of the year, with partner organizations sharing first-hand experiences of working with youth across Manchester.
When I did my student teaching at a middle school in Manchester, I remember many days of feeling overwhelmed by the challenges some students faced. The onset of adolescence alone can be a turbulent time. Combine that with factors such as financial instability, trauma, mental health issues and lack of support systems, and it can become a nearly impossible time for youth to navigate successfully.
This free tax preparation program is available to Individuals and families with household incomes up to $66,000 annually.
In her role as Vice President of Regional Operations, Welch will oversee Area Directors and Area Managers throughout Granite United Way and be the lead in the Central Region.
