The NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has issued a conditional registration certificate for the cultivation of therapeutic cannabis to Sanctuary ATC. Sanctuary ATC’s cultivation center in Rochester, New Hampshire, is the first to receive DHHS approval to begin cultivating therapeutic cannabis in New Hampshire.

Registry Identification Cards issued to qualifying patients and designated caregivers cannot be used to purchase therapeutic cannabis in New Hampshire until the Alternative Treatment Centers (ATC) dispensary selected by the Qualifying Patient opens. The ATC dispensaries are expected to open in Spring 2016.

Linda Horan of Alstead, who is suffering from Stage 4 lung cancer, filed a pre-registration application to participate in New Hampshire’s medical marijuana program after receiving approval from all five of her physicians. She wants to receive a medical marijuana ID card that will allow her to obtain medical marijuana legally in Maine and protect her from arrest and prosecution in New Hampshire.
