Ride the Cyclone is a high-octane, raucous comedy about the recently deceased members of the St. Cassian Chamber Choir who, following the tragic accident, find themselves in an abandoned warehouse waiting to see what really happens after death. Emceed by The Amazing Karnak, a fortune-telling machine designed to predict the exact time and place of someone’s death, each of the teens competes in a mysterious contest for the opportunity to come back to life.

As I write this, I’m listening to the Singers & Swing station in my Xfinity TV package. Frank Sinatra just stopped by for a visit. Then Patti Page. Then Harry James & Marion Morgan. Then Billy May and the Swing Era Big Band. I have a slight suspicion that might just be a name invented by the people at Xfinity/Comcast.

Parkside’s music students sent several essays to the school district office. Many writers described personal experiences with music and how it has impacted their lives, others authored stories about music in a children’s book format, and some simply wrote letters explaining why Parkside deserved a new piano.
