I am not one to editorialize. But today I will make an exception because I can’t stand silently by while the state’s newspaper of record tries to jump off the Donald Trump bandwagon as it careens toward the February 9 New Hampshire Primary.
A forum with presidential candidates to address tech issues is postponed until January.
Just eight weeks away from the state’s only presidential convention for students, the NH Primary Student Convention announces three generous scholarships for students who attend the convention and submit a compelling essay on New Hampshire’s first in the nation primary status. Sponsored by New England College (NEC), first prize will be four years of college, tuition free. Second prize is a $20,000 scholarship and third prize is a $15,000 scholarship, both of which are renewable annually for four years.

Among those gathered for the brief pep rally were former New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice John Broderick, a Democrat, and Brad Cook, a prominent Republican attorney, who serves as Executive Director of the Warren B. Rudman Center at UNH Law School, and is chair of the NH Ballot Law Commission.
The Manchester Historic Association is seeking photos of Presidential candidates down through the years – specifically campaigning in Manchester – for an upcoming exhibition on the Queen City’s role in the Presidential Primary process.
Brigade is a tech start-up founded in 2014 to tackle the problem of declining citizen power and engagement in our democracy, which has created a Ballot Guide app being piloted in only two U.S. cities – here in Manchester, and San Franciso – to give the voting public a way to declare their beliefs, organize with others, and take action to shape the policies affecting their lives.
