At the February 3, 2026 meeting of the Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen, I spoke during the public comment portion to raise a practical issue related to snow removal and winter parking enforcement that many residents experience every winter, and to provide the Board with draft ordinance language for its consideration.
A nor’easter has descended on the region, bringing several inches of snow to the city and surrounding area – the first big snow of the season.
Downtown activities can be the best of times and the worst of times – the best happens when the city is full of activity for special events, and people come early and stay late to eat and shop and enjoy what makes Manchester special. The worst happens when you have your fill of it all and then you attempt to find your car, which isn’t where you left it. Because it got towed. Because you parked in the wrong place.
