Snow Days

Many may practice the customary snow day traditions such as wearing pajamas inside out and backwards, putting a spoon under their pillow, performing a snow dance, flushing ice cubes down the toilet, and placing a white crayon in the freezer or on every windowsill. Although, where did these rituals come from?
