The show must go on!!  Nashua International Sculpture Symposium is pleased to announce the 13th annual Nashua International Sculpture Symposium Opening on August 20.  Three sculptors will be spending three weeks outside at The Picker Artists at 3 Pine St. in Nashua, each creating a large outdoor sculpture to be given to the City and installed in a public place for all to enjoy.

Often associated with a “Valley of The Dolls”-type of quality, the Warner Brothers 1965 film “Inside Daisy Clover,” generally receives a somewhat worthy bad rap for it’s inflated acting and overall camp.  It “is” a bit overacted, it “is” a bit campy, it could even teeter on cult-ish. However, once you’ve come to that acceptance, then Daisy doesn’t hurt so much.

Chef/owner Omar Abouzaid and his wife, Ibtisam, are no strangers to Manchester or the food biz.  They first moved to the area 20 years ago from Morocco to attend Southern New Hampshire University.  Ibtisam earning her degree in International Business; while Omar graduated with an MBA before continuing on to get an MS in Finance.

The city of Manchester sent an email out to everyone who attended one of the high school graduations at Fisher Cat Stadium, suggesting we all get tested for COVID. I was at the stadium with about a thousand others, give or take, watching our kids walk the plank into mini-adulthood.  But, the city suggested we all get tested and it was FREE so, what the hell, you’re speaking my language.  I bit.

But, just as she was on the precipice of notoriety, illness took hold, forcing her to temporarily suspend her dreams. However, counting her out would be a miscalculated mistake. Confident and tenacious, Hunter is facing her setback due to Lyme disease with fierce defiance, unwilling to allow opportunity to pass her by.
