On Saturday, March 9, the Party for Socialism and Liberation of Southern New Hampshire (PSL) organized an event at the Green Beautiful Cafe to commemorate the holiday. They called the event Revolutionary Women’s History: Craft and Learn. The theme of the event was to make collages from newspapers and magazines to express oneself.

Imagine that you have tickets for really good seats at a Taylor Swift concert, but as you’re driving there, in sight of the stadium, you inexplicably turn around and go home. No concert. No contact, or even a glimpse, of one of the biggest stars in the music universe. Nothing. That, according to author and eclipse chaser David Baron, is the equivalent of not traveling on April 8 to the path of totality for the solar eclipse.

After visiting Daydreaming Brewing in downtown Derry, trying each of their eight available beers (small pours shared with my wife, and accompanied by food, don’t worry) and spelunking through the website of the mini-conglomerate of which it is a part (more on that below), I now have so many bits of info about Daydreaming swirling through my head (see what I did there?) that I don’t know where to begin.

Indie rock enthusiasts most likely know of Roger Clark Miller through his time as the co-vocalist and guitarist for the Boston post-punks Mission of Burma, but these days he’s been doing a variety of different things. One of these things is a project that’s inspired by his own dreams where he writes them down in a journal and he interprets them through his music. This is all done by himself with no musical collaborators but with the assistance of an assortment of six strings and looping technology. It’s called the Solo Electric Guitar Ensemble and he’s going to be performing this creative outlet at Nova Arts in Keene on March 8. Japanese guitar virtuoso Hiroya Tsukamoto will be starting off the show at 7 p.m.
