This exhibit highlights the works of Frank Kelly, a prominent Manchester photographer from the 1950s through the 1980s. Kelly owned Frank Kelly Studio in Manchester for 49 years. Over his long career, he, along with his wife Eleanor, photographed many Manchester people, businesses, and landmarks.
Thirty years ago, Michael Tobin stood in the wings of The Players’ Ring, waiting for the City of Portsmouth’s final approval before opening the doors and welcoming audiences to the very first show of the area’s newest theater. Now, 30 years later, The Players’ Ring is proud to honor the history and legacy of that first show with their production of Michael Tobin’s “A Christmas Carol,” running from December 2–22.

Menotti’s heartwarming family-friendly opera, “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” will be presented Sunday December 4, at 4 p.m. in the Dana Center at Saint Anselm College. The performance features professional opera singers and a full orchestra, in collaboration with faculty, students, and alumni.
The performance fuses Soul, Funk, ’80s Hip-Hop, and Afro-beat music samples with live instrumentation including a cello, bass guitar and banjos. The performance will take the audience into a euphoric environment of vulnerability, creativity, and possibility. Following the performance, there will be Q&A session and Middle Eastern foods.
“Through All The Seasons” will be on view at Manchester City Hall from Friday, December 2, 2022, to Thursday, December 29, 2022. All works are available for purchase by contacting the artist directly.

The Players’ Ring Theatre has long been known as a hub for new works and a center for artists exploring innovative forms of storytelling. From November 25-27, award-winning clown and local storyteller Gemma Soldati brings her one-woman family comedy The Adventures of Sleepyhead to the Players’ Ring stage, perfect for dreamers of all ages.
