Arts Build Community announces “Community Canvas Mural Program” in Manchester, the first of its kind in the Queen City.
Additional summer programming at Veterans Park through the city has been announced. In addition to Movies in the Park announced earlier this week Manchester Parks and Recreation will host a Concerts in the Park Summer Series.
That may not seem unusual – libraries across the country are celebrating Pride Month with similar displays. But it’s in stark contrast to how the display had looked for more than a week – after a patron asked that the books be removed and, when the librarian refused, checked out all 15.

Cat Alley is ready for a refresh. After 10 years, the feline-festooned footpath will get an upgrade, thanks to a Community Event and Activation Grant funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.

On June 5, Positive Street Art of Nashua celebrated 10 years of artistry with the grand opening of their new 2,000 square-foot space, located on the third floor of 48 Bridge Street, Nashua.
Owner Tim Baines and business partner Bob Scribner have poured themselves into reimagining the former Cheddar & Rye. There are still sandwiches and whisky, and the dark wood-themed decor also remains, but it’s been revamped and enhanced with a City-Hall theme, largely because the city’s signature clock tower looms large just across the street.

In a 2019 episode of the popular Netflix show “The Patriot Act,” I learned that cricket is the second most popular sport in the world, next to soccer. However, cricket is not a game we typically see people playing in Manchester. On Memorial Day morning roughly 20 international students from India gather to play cricket on a baseball field in Livingston Park.
