Tuesday morning CMC announced the difficult but temporary decision to place 423 employees on a 60-day furlough beginning Sunday, April 26.  This represents about 13 percent of our workforce.  An additional 914 employees, or 29 percent, will have hours reduced.  This includes employees whose schedules were already affected by our COVID-19 response.  Furthermore, leaders at the vice president level and above are taking a 15 percent pay cut and executive directors are taking a 5 percent cut.

New Hampshire election officials determined the ongoing public health emergency surrounding COVID-19 could qualify as a “disability” under the state’s election laws. Because the general public is being advised to practice social distancing, state officials explained in the memo, that would qualify any eligible New Hampshire voter for an absentee ballot.

The new Hub will also serve as a staging program for the mobile market and the Consumer Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs. Individuals purchase shares in the CSA and receive a box of fresh produce every week during the season. Fresh Start offers home delivery or members will be able to pick up their share at the Hub.
