The number of officers on the streets won’t change and emergency calls will be handled as usual. Officers will always respond to violence and crimes in progress, however, non-emergency calls will be addressed over the phone. We will have officers available to handle these reports and do follow-ups.

Both Phaneuf and CNSH have already encountered the first families who have chosen to postpone, modify or cancel services due to the outbreak. Their teams are working closely with families to determine what’s most appropriate, considering a family’s particular circumstances. The CDC recommends no public gatherings of 50+ people for the next eight weeks, so Phaneuf is encouraging small, private or immediate-family-only services for the time being.

Effective Monday, March 16 Catholic Medical Center is curtailing most elective procedures.  This decision is being made under the advice the American College of Surgeons and the US Surgeon General, and in conjunction with CMC’s medical staff.  Hospitals throughout the state and country are taking similar action.

During Sunday’s press conference Chan said the number of confirmed cases in New Hampshire had risen to 13, nearly double Friday’s announcement of 7 confirmed cases. He also said 380 people have been tested in New Hampshire, with 275 of those having negative results. There are 100 test results pending, he said.
