MANCHESTER, NH – Make it a handmade holiday this year, starting with Studio 550’s 2nd Annual Handmade Holiday Market on November 22, 2014 from 12-5 p.m.
There will be a curated collection of quality, local artisans represented. Some of the work for sale will be knitted and woven wearable fiber arts, functional and decorative pottery, meticulously carved decorative eggshells, jewelry made from wire, beads, and glass, and other unique craft-arts.
Many artisans will be actively making their work during the market, so will be able to see how the work they are purchasing is made. We hope these live demos will make for a more engaging, informative, and memorable experience.
There is no admission fee for shoppers or browsers.
Adding to the gift-giving options, the 2nd Annual Cup Show & Sale will be on display in the gallery from November 15 until January 17. This is a juried show of functional ceramic cups and mugs by professional artists around the country.
Also, there will be a “seconds” pottery sale that will benefit the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF). CERF provides grants to artisans whose livelihood is in danger due to some sort of unforeseen emergency. Examples of CERF grants would be providing aid to an artist in the Gulf area after Hurricane Katrina or assisting an artist who was hit by a car with medical bills.
