MANCHESTER, NH – Red Arrow temporarily closed its popular Manchester location on October 6 to do major renovations. The iconic, 24 hour diner plans to reopen October 19, just in time to place your Thanksgiving pie order!
Cool weather means comfort food and in Manchester, that means Annula’s baked lamb dinner ($11.95). This eatery at the corner of Chestnut and Pearl, slow roasts lamb shanks overnight and serves them with rice and green beans. Served only on Thursdays, it is best to reserve your dinner the day before because they sell out fast.

Throughout the fall bring your own bottle of wine to XO on Elm and pay a $5 corkage fee. Monday through Thursday only.
It’s not too early to be thinking about Thanksgiving. The Bedford Village Inn is taking reservations for Thanksgiving. The prix fixe menu ($65 per adult, children 10 and under $29.95) includes the traditional turkey dinner, but also, beef tenderloin, prosciutto wrapped pheasant, sea scallops and a slow roasted pork loin.
Also,the Derryfield Restaurant is now taking reservations for a traditional turkey dinner with a variety of pricing options, including family-style which allows you to bring home leftovers.
Finally, The Yard has begun taking Thanksgiving reservations for their popular traditional turkey buffet and plated meals, such as prime rib, and baked haddock. For more details, click here.
And if you can’t wait until Thanksgiving, Moe Joe’s Family Restaurant has brought back their popular Sunday turkey dinner ($9.99), served noon to close throughout the fall.
Tek-Nique is hosting a five course German wine dinner ($85 pp) on October 20 at 6 p.m. Guests will explore some lesser known varietals such as Lemberger (or Blaufränkisch) and Dornfelder as well as as Spätburgunder (or Pinot Noir) and the reigning king of German wine, Riesling.
