Today’s Weather

Wake up to a bright morning sun and a pleasant breeze! While it’s warming up a bit, expect some afternoon clouds to drift in. The high will reach a cozy 71 degrees, with winds coming in from the west-southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Perfect weather for an adventure or a relaxing day outdoors!


Turbulent temperatures this week!

Spring temperatures can be unpredictable, and residents of New Hampshire will continue to experience this through much of the first half of May as differing air masses come and go. This week alone, temperatures in some communities will be high enough for shorts one day, then low enough that heavy jackets will be needed not long after. Many will experience a brief period of warmer weather at the start of the week, followed by a rush of chilly air towards the end of the week.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 51 (feel like 49) Winds: SSW 10-15 mph

Tuesday: Some sun & clouds, windy, and warm. High 80 Winds: SW 15-25+ mph

Tuesday night: Some clouds & mild. Low 60 (feel like 57) Winds: SSW 10-15 mph

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, breezy and not as warm with a couple of showers (.15″). High 68 Winds: SSW 10-20+ mph

Wednesday night: Cloudy with light rain (.15″) early, then becoming partly cloudy. Low 49 (feel like 42) Winds: W 5-15 mph

Thursday: Morning sun followed by clouds and showers by evening. High 60 Winds: WNW 5-10 mph

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with some showers (.20″). Low 43 (feel like 39) Winds: WNW 5-15+ mph

Friday: Chilly wind with sun & clouds. High 59 (feel like 55) Winds: WNW 15-25+ mph

Friday night: Mainly clear & cold with some frost in lying spots. Low 37 Winds: WSW 5-10 mph

After a brief warm-up to start the week, a cool weather pattern will return and last until the middle of May.

Elevations for summits above 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: The summits will be obscured in the morning, with clouds intermittently covering them throughout the day. There is a chance of rain showers, with highs reaching the upper 40s, except for elevations above 5,000 feet, where highs will be in the lower 40s. West winds will be strong, ranging from 30 to 40 mph, with gusts reaching up to 70 mph. There is a 30 percent chance of rain. In the morning, wind chill values could drop as low as 3 degrees above zero.

Elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 feet in Northern New Hampshire today: Mountains may be shrouded in clouds, with a chance of snow showers in the morning, followed by possible rain showers later. High temperatures are expected to be in the lower 50s. West winds will blow at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts reaching up to 55 mph. The chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
