MANCHESTER, NH โ€” A city man was convicted of 15 felony and five misdemeanor charges involving the repeated rape and abuse of a woman he confined to his apartment for two weeks during the winter of 2023.

After a two-week trial in Hillsborough County Superior Court Northern District, a jury found Dylan Reynolds, 40, guilty of seven counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault (rape); two counts of kidnapping; one count of trafficking in persons; three charges of criminal threatening; one count of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon; one count of witness tampering, and five counts of domestic violence โ€“ simple assault.

“These convictions demonstrate our office’s commitment to seeking justice for survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking,” said prosecutors Alexander G. Gatzoulis and Laura Del Camp, who jointly prosecuted the case. “We commend the courage of the victim in coming forward and testifying, as well as the thorough investigation conducted by the Manchester Police Department.”

Proseuctors said Reynolds, a drug dealer who had a prior relationship with the victim, confined her to his apartment for about two weeks โ€” from Jan. 28, 2023, through Feb. 10, 2023. During that period, Reynolds exploited the womanโ€™s drug addiction to coerce her into sexual acts by controlling both her access to drugs and the quantities she received. He also physically assaulted and repeatedly threatened her.

The abuse came to an end after police were called by concerned individuals who asked for a welfare check because they had lost contact with the woman.

Officers went to Reynolds apartment.  As Reynolds exited the apartment, the woman was behind him.   She was visibly emotional and expressed relief at the officers’ arrival.

The woman testified over three days, recounting her experiences with consistency and resolve, according to a news release issued by Hillsborough County Attorney John Coughlin.

The investigation was conducted by the Manchester Police Department under the direction of Detectives David Lisboa and Carrissa Pelletier.

Throughout the trial, Victim Witness Advocate Merrill Beauchamp provided support to the victim. Eva Reardon served as the trial teamโ€™s paralegal, with administrative assistance provided by Heidi Werner.

Judge David A. Anderson scheduled Reynolds sentencing for Aug.  26, 2026, at 1:30pm.
