Dear Editor,
I am a moderate conservative and a former Trump supporter in 2016. I had voted for Trump thinking things might improve if he won and I was tired of politicians not listening to the people they had promised to serve. As time went on I found that I was horribly wrong in my decision. One day I stumbled upon a candidate named Tulsi Gabbard who was featured on a popular podcast. She was asked questions about when these endless wars are going to end and how we are going to fix the problems we face at home every day. Tulsi answered the questions wholeheartedly with detail and honesty. If she didn’t know the answer to questions she said that she would research the topics and come back with an answer which she did in a later episode of the podcast. Tulsi answered with the honest values one would hope for and expect from a leader. I decided to go see her in person at an upcoming house party where I met people from all walks of life who came to see her. What struck me about Tulsiโs speech that night is that I could tell she would be a leader that unites instead of divides. Serve instead of rule. Respect instead of hate. I sincerely hope that every American takes a good look at Tulsi Gabbard as someone truly worthy of your vote.
