MANCHESTER, NH– The Palace Theatre – in celebration of its 100th anniversary – is offering AARP members and their guests a $10 discount to “A Christmas Carol.” The discounted performances will be held December 4 through December 22 at The Palace Theatre, 72 Hanover St., in downtown Manchester. Performances will be held at both 2 and 7:30 p.m.
Charles Dickens’ classic story of Scrooge and Tiny Tim is filled with lively song and dance featuring more than 50 actors. Scrooge, known for his penny-pinching ways, is visited by three ghosts on a snowy Christmas Eve. These ghostly visits reveal Scrooge’s past, present and future to him and fill him with newfound hope and joy in the Christmas season.
And on Thursday, December 10 – from 6 to 7 p.m. – there will be a free pre-show reception featuring sweet treats and beverages. AARP members are encouraged to stop by for a snack and meet AARP staff, volunteers and other members.
