All Electronic Tolling set to begin on the F.E. Everett Turnpike 

Starting Jan. 8: All Electronic Toll (AET) at Bedford tolls.

CONCORD, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will cease cash toll collection at the toll booths and begin using an All-Electronic Toll (AET) system on the F.E. Everett Turnpike (Route 3), northbound and southbound in Bedford, beginning January 8, 2026 at 10 p.m. Work on this project will continue through the winter and spring months. Once complete, the toll booths will be fully removed. 

Motorists are urged to use caution and slow to the posted 25 mph speed limit when traveling through the toll lanes. 

To avoid fees road users are encouraged to create NH E-ZPass accounts.  NH accountholders with a funded account receive a 30% discount for passenger cars on all NH toll roads.  

E-ZPass Walk-In Service Centers are located in Concord, Nashua, or Portsmouth to help motorists sign up for NH E-ZPass accounts, accept payments if money is owed, and answer questions about using the NH E-ZPass system.  The offices are open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
