MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Friday, June 28, Manchester police arrested Matthew Williams on charges of alleged simple assault, resisting arrest and willful interference with police dogs.
Williams, 35, of Nashua, N.H. was reportedly throwing things, yelling and acting aggressively inside a room at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites just off Exit 8. Despite multiple attempts, police were unable to get Williams to leave his room or answer his phone.
A New Hampshire State Police K9 team was called in to assist and police had to overcome a barricade upon entering the room.
After continued struggle, Williams eventually growled, wrapping his arms around a K9 unit dog, trying to bite it on the top of the head.
Williams is scheduled to appear in Manchester Circuit Court on July 1.
