MANCHESTER, NH – If it feels like summer has slipped away, you’re not alone. Central boys’ varsity coach Sudi Lett feels the same way. By now he intended to hold another free summer basketball clinic, as he did last summer.
Lett was planning to do another five-day camp, but between his duties at his day job, as youth and education coordinator for Granite State Organizing Project, and being co-chair of this year’s We Are One Festival, on top of getting Central’s team back in top shape, Lett says the summer got the better of him.
But he’s not defeated. Where there’s a will there’s a way to make sure city youth get in some skills training – especially those who may not have had other organized camp opportunities over the summer.
He’s organized a free three-day basketball clinic to be held Aug. 28-30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sheridan-Emmet Park basketball court (324 Beech St.) for kids grades 4-12. The clinic is a continuation of last year’s week-long camp which was held in June.
Lett will get an assist from Samy Abdalla, West High School grad and trainer with So Elite Training.
No registration is required – just show up and be ready to run some drills and play ball, says Lett
