Bedford entrepreneur to open 1750 Taphouse, family-style restaurant


BEDFORD, NHย โ€“ย Louis Rylantย is an entrepreneur, auto executive and restauranteur who is looking to bring some flavor to New England. After taking over the famous Sea Basket restaurant in Wiscassett, ME, in the summer of 2016, he also recently purchased the 1750 Taphouse inย Bedford,ย set to open in earlyย June 2018,ย and is looking to open another restaurant in Southern New Hampshire before the year is out. According to Rylant, “I am in negotiations for an additional location inย Bedfordย and will announce the new restaurant, location and concept in the next couple months.”

The 1750 Taphouse will be a family friendly destination with brick oven pizzas, indoor and outdoor seating and more than 20 taps for your choosing.

“I wanted to create a place that local families and friends can go for a good meal and have a good time while also running into your friends after a long day or week,” Rylant said.

Rustic in appearance, the 1750 Taphouse will be open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Localย Bedfordย residents can expect to hear more about the restaurant, as Rylant and his staff plan on being very active in the community, participating in local charities and events. Local sports teams looking for sponsorship should also knock on the door.

1750 Taphouse is located where Tek Nique restaurant used to be, on Routeย 101. All of the menu items will be underย $20ย and the team at 1750 Taphouse is looking forward to bringing breakfast on weekends into the area as well.
