The Manchester Monarchs are now even in their series against the Adirondack Thunder, following Adirondack’s 5-1 victory on Saturday night.

Friday night was a good night for professional sports teams from New Hampshire playing teams named after Thunder, with the Monarchs winning Game 1 of the ECHL North Division Finals and the Fisher Cats taking the first game of their series against Trenton.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats return to Manchester with their first series loss of the year, thanks to a 5-4 heartbreaker on Wednesday night to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have not lost two games in a row this season coming into Tuesday, and that streak is still alive following Tuesday’s contest against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have now played 16 games during the 2018 season. In 15 of those games, they’ve either won or come very close to winning.

The Fisher Cats bounced back from their series opening loss to the Reading Fightin’ Phils, grabbing a 6-2 win.

The Monarchs have four of the 16 wins they’ll need to win this year’s Kelly Cup.
