The New Hampshire Department of Education today released the latest school accountability data on its iPlatform data portal. The department recently uploaded 2018-2019 Federal Accountability data.

ommissioner of Education Frank Edelblut announced this week that Kimberly Piper-Stoddard, an English Teacher at Granite State High School in the Corrections Special School District is New Hampshire’s 2020 Teacher of the Year. Ms. Piper Stoddard was surprised by the announcement during a ceremony held at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men (NHSP-M).

Results show the percentage of students showing proficiency in English and Language Arts increased in three grades and fell in two others from last year. Proficiency in Math increased in two grades, but fell in three. High school SAT results tracked about the same, with a small decline in English and Language Arts and a small increase in Math.
The funds, awarded by the federal Department of Education’s Charter School Program (CSP), will support the state’s charter school program with a focus on at-risk students, and help spread education innovations to other New Hampshire schools.
This year, the Backpack Drive set a new record by collecting more than 600 backpacks, which will be distributed by school nurses to students in need across the Granite State.
The NH DOE Bureau of Federal Compliance provides technical assistance, guidance documents, and other educational opportunities to assist local schools in understanding how to manage federal grants.
The program would allow New Hampshire public school students to earn credit toward graduation for accredited learning outside of the classroom.
