This is my first Celebrity Deaths video since 2018. I had been too busy with other projects that my Celebrity Deaths series had been put on the back burner. I actually didn’t intend to make one this year either. Having a weekly radio show here in Manchester has consumed quite a bit of my time, and every year these celeb videos take me a month to put together.
Whenever I know I have to do anything strenuous, I think back to eight years ago today actually, on December 19, 2012, when I was moving a dryer down to the basement, then 20 minutes later had a massive heart attack that almost killed me. Fortunately, with the prompt help of friends and doctors and nurses, I survived.
Gary Tibbetts was my friend and he will be missed.
I will never forget that night. Or going to the fireworks in a park, not a parking lot, surrounded by… well… everyone.

There are so many beautiful things about this city I learned about while I made this video that I had no intention of learning. I just wanted old pics and cool tunes. What I ended up getting was humbled by the beautiful history that surrounds me every single day.
