The public is invited to attend local concerns meeting on December 9, 2021 at 6 p.m. at the Department of Public Work’s Muster Conference Room at 475 Valley Street, for discussion of intersection improvements at South Willow Street and Weston Road. The City’s consultant, HDR Inc., will be presenting background information on the proposed project.

John Clayton and Peter White will emcee the parade from Veteran’s Park in downtown Manchester. Currently, Memorial, West and Central High School marching bands will be participating and The National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 44 will be on hand to collect letters to Santa. Other participants include the Palace Theatres, the Manchester Fire Department, the Manchester Police Department, UNH Manchester, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Manchester Transit Authority, Santa Claus and more!

Work was selected from an open call for submissions by guest artists Sachiko Akiyama, L’Merchie Frazier, and Ashley Page, along with leadership from 3S Artspace and Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire.

The Tower of Toys initiative is celebrating its 10th consecutive year of collecting unwrapped children’s toys, sports equipment, art supplies, cosmetics, movie certificates, and gift cards to benefit children and families in need. Donations are formed into a toy-filled tower at the Atrium of the Beacon Building at 814 Elm Street, Manchester, and are now being accepted until Thursday, December 16.
