Summer solstice 2022 in the Northern Hemisphere will be at 5:13 this morning with highs near 80. The normal high is 80 and last year was near 90.
Monday’s Weather Total sunshine can be expected today. This will allow temperatures to reach the upper 70s during the afternoon.
As the last weekend of spring comes to an end, we’ll tie the record low high today. The record is 61 set in 1935 and with today’s high of 61, we’ll tie the record.
A fall-like feel this weekend with temperatures 15 degrees below normal. Both today’s and Sunday’s highs are only in the low to mid-60s along with a chilly breeze. The potential for a couple of inches of accumulating snow at the highest peaks in the White Mountains along with wind chills in the single digits may catch hikers off guard as conditions will be atypical for mid-June.
A cold front approaching from the Great Lakes will produce the potential for strong to severe storms this afternoon with the frontal passage. Tonight will be cooler with less humid conditions. A chilly weekend with temperatures 10-15 degrees below normal.
An onshore flow strengthens today ahead of an approaching front, keeping most areas confined to the 70s for highs.
High pressure continues to build over New Hampshire through midweek, bringing generally dry conditions and seasonable temperatures.
Today is a beautiful June day with light northwest winds with high-pressure building in from the west with highs in the low 80s.
Spot showers move off the coast by mid-morning with the cold front pulling in drier air on a northwest wind. This should allow for clearing skies by afternoon with less humid air moving in this evening.
