For the first day of Spring, a drying trend with some sun and clouds along with above-normal temperatures with a gusty west wind.
Low pressure will advance into the Great Lakes this morning, with a cold rain expanding east along a warm front pushing north. Showers and a thunderstorm will taper off this evening.
Early morning fog burns off to partly to mostly sunny conditions with a temperature around 70. The weather pattern turns significantly more unsettled this weekend as a complex low-pressure system slowly crosses New England.
High pressure moves offshore today, clearing the path for low pressure to approach from the south with some afternoon showers.

Thursday for Saint Patrick’s Day is partly to mostly cloudy with a high near 60.
Low pressure strengthens as it moves into the Gulf of Maine today and then into the Canadian Maritimes tonight. This area of low pressure will bring widespread rain changing to snow in the afternoon, along with gusty winds that could top 45 mph.
