A front will remain over southern New England today which will be the focus for showers and thunderstorms.
Today heat indices may reach 97 degrees for a few hours in portions of southern New Hampshire during the afternoon with temperatures in the low 90s. Tomorrow with a warm and moist air mass in place, heavy rain will be possible as showers and thunderstorms move through.
Low pressure passes well to our north today and tomorrow with a warming trend. Temperatures today in the 80s, tomorrow in the low 90s.
A warm front lifts northward across New Hampshire today, bringing warm and more humid weather to the area. The warm front passage may produce scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.
A warm front over New Hampshire will result in heavy rainfall this morning. A few thunderstorms are possible as well. 1 to 3 inches of rain is likely which could result in flash flooding. Watch for flooding on streets and poor drainage areas.
High pressure will bring fair weather today and will drift offshore during the day. Highs will be into the low 80s. Tonight a warm front will produce some rainfall, a period of heavy rain may accompany this front tonight into tomorrow.
With Elsa over the Canadian Maritimes, the weather for the weekend and through much of next week will feature fairly typical summer conditions, with scattered mainly afternoon showers or thunderstorms most days.
Elsa`s circulation tracks through the Gulf of Maine today before exiting to Nova Scotia early tomorrow. A drying trend is expected over the weekend as weak high pressure builds over the Northeast.
A front stalled to our south will result in cooler weather along with more showers and thunderstorms. Tomorrow tropical rainstorm Elsa will produce gusty wind & rain.

A warm and humid airmass builds into the region today. Heat index values may reach the mid-90s. Widely scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening.
High pressure moves southeast of New England with a southwest flow developing. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with moderating temperatures near 80.
Cool and showery for today, but should see showers winding down in the afternoon, with some possible breaks of sun late in the day. A warming trend begins tomorrow.
Looking ahead: Turning warmer and more humid Monday night through midweek, with a cold front bringing a risk for thunderstorms Wednesday.
Unsettled but much cooler today into the Fourth of July weekend. Scattered pop-up showers each day in the holiday weekend but not a washout.
Yesterday’s high of 96 in Manchester broke the record of 92 in 1931, 2001, 2018. The heatwave breaks today with more cloud cover, but it will still be quite humid.
Yesterday’s high of 98 in Manchester broke the record of 95 in 1933.
Yesterday’s high of 97 in Manchester broke the record of 96 in 1941. Today’s record of 95 from 1933 will be broken as we hit 96.
