In New England, few bands embrace this genre as much as Foreside Funk, who hail from Kittery, Maine. Folks around Newmarket and the surrounding areas will get the chance to see this act do their thing on stage at The Stone Church at 8 p.m. with local organ trio J3ST kicking the night off. 

He might be based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, these days, but Manchester native J. Michael Graham has a habit of coming back to New Hampshire to perform an array of acoustic tunes. On March 15, he’s going to be performing a mix of covers and originals at The Village Trestle in Goffstown starting at 6pm. It’s a three hour set, so expect a plethora of songs and a vibrant atmosphere. 

Emerson and Lake both passed on back in 2016, but Palmer has recently been keeping the band’s legacy alive with a unique performance. It’s called “An Evening with Emerson, Lake & Palmer,” and it’s coming to Tupelo Music Hall in Derry on February 27 at 8 p.m. 

On February 7 at The Shaskeen Pub in the heart of downtown Manchester, this talented band is going to be taking the stage. Local fusion rock act The Hot Chocheys are going to be kicking the night off with the festivities starting at 8 p.m. 

It’s a fact that there’s a ton of talented bands and musicians from around the New England region. Choose between New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut and you’re bound to find at least a couple great acts that you’re going to be a fan of. With this in mind, Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club in Portsmouth is starting their “Discovery Series.”

Diving into Latin influences, the record has a really cool vibe while defying classification. As part of his tour in support of the full-length release, Prophet and his backing band, His Cumbia Shoes, are going to be performing Jan. 29 at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth starting at 8 p.m. 

One of the many examples of this around New Hampshire is one that’s being put on by the Boston-based Americana act Adam Ezra Group. They’re going to be taking the stage at Tupelo Music Hall with two shows, one happening at 5:30 p.m. (dinner and a show) for the folks who already have plans for later in the evening, and another happening at 8:30 p.m. for the people who are looking to have a blast when the ball drops. Albany, New York act Sirsy are going to be opening up both installments, so make sure to arrive in a prompt manner regardless of which show you attend.

Jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli has had a unique career as a musician. He’s performed with legends such as Benny Goodman and Les Paul along with the Boston Pops among others. He also has his own syndicated radio show with his wife and when he’s not on stage, he’s crafting his own online guitar lessons for people to learn the tricks of the trade.

There’s going to be a lot of fun stuff going on around New Hampshire for Halloween. Along with the obvious Trick-or-Treating, there are some vibrant parties and plenty of live music happening around the Granite State to ring in “All Hallow’s Eve.”

One of the many examples of this is the immensely talented saxophonist Grace Kelly. The Wellesley, Mass., native is always doing something cool with her music, which includes her latest album “Grace Kelly with Strings: At The Movies” that came out on March 1.
